Does anyone know the springs on the 08 would be the same as the 07? I am bottoming out on the front and want to consider an aftermarket solution. Does the Progressive fork springs cause the ride to be harsh, more than stock? Any other suggestions for aftermarket springs? Mike H.

No it is not harsh. At the same time, you will be replacing your fork oil. I recently did this and put in 7 wt. oil. The ride was quite good after I made these changes. Incidentally, the suggestion about how many cc's of oil to add is only a rough estimate. Mine took quite a bit more. The Progessive springs are progressive but I'm unclear if they will keep you from bottoming out. Maybe you could pop the tops of the fork tubes and add a spacer / increase the length of an exisiting spacer to add more preload to your exisiting equipment. You could 'cheaply' experiment with increasing preload (wear your safety glasses) to see if this helps your problems (use a piece of PVC pipe to do this). Well worth the money, IMHO I haven't noticed the ride being harsher but better especially in braking and cornering.
