Now that's a good set of pics. I have a sawzall and a stick welder. Also, as luck would have it, a new partner of mine told me that he does some metal work. I asked him about Mig welding, thinking if my helicoils did not hold up I could ride over to his house and he could help me with a welded fix. Today he brought in a small Lincoln wire welder with two spools of fluxed wire. It can be converted to a mig setup with a kit, I believe. He basically said for me to take it home and keep it as long as I wanted, he has a bigger and better one now.
I think I'll ask him about his plasma cutter........
