ebc 230 mm rotor conversion problem
Jake,
The EBC rotor doesn't come with the necessary instruction to relieve
the pads where the buttons on the rotor will hit the backing plate for
the pads as they wear, so double check and be sure that isn't the
problem. There are also clone rotors out there that are anodized the
same color (in the hub area) as the EBC, so this can be an issue for
some people. I know some of the clone rotors don't float as they
should, because the buttons are incorrectly formed. I have a sample of
this in my shop. One last things to check besides all the stuff that's
already been mentioned by others - check your steering head bearings.
You might have already done this, but if they are loose you can also
get a pulsing feel in the forks.
all the best,
Mike

california tank
I just purchased a California gas tank from a fellow list member and
need to mount it on a non-Cali bike. My tank had one vent tube off the
back but this tank has two vents for emissions. One is labeled red and
the other blue. Do I plug one of these and connect the other to my
existing hose? Or [plug both? Or do I need to do something else?
I know it may be hard for some, but please no red/blue political comments.
