If one wanted to remove the striped decal from the red fiberglass
piece covering the radiator or radiator fluid resevoir on the 2004
KLR650 how would one do it.
In the alternative if one wanted to find the stripe for a plain red
fiberglass piece covering the radiator or radiator fluid reservoir
how would one find it.
I had to replace this covering on the left side and the replacement
from Kawasaki came plain red without the stripe while the original
piece (that matches the covering on the right side) had a stripe.
2001 color match.

I used "Klean-Strip" brand of "Gum & adhesive remover" found at a
chain auto parts store. Spray it on let it set and then pull off. a
razor blade helps.
Sun light will have caused some fading already. buff the plastic with
some plastic polish and then it;ll be good as new.
Kawasaki would sell the stickers.

GooGone is works great and it has that lovely orange smell. WD-40 works just as well too if you prefer the more masculine petroleum odor. 2001 color match.
Color Rite 3993 is their matching color

I've used them before. More expensive than the touch up cans at
Pep Boys, etc, but it's pretty good. You get more, too.
If you are thinking of painting the plastics, though, this is not the
stuff you want to use. You'll have to use a primer that adheres to
polypropylene (but then you can use that over top of it)
