I just recently just recieved a brand new Mefo rear tire. I can`t get
a front? Hopefully someday.
I was looking at the tire and I noticed that it was stamped "3-ply`s".
Only 3 ply`s? How can a good tire that everybody raves about only have
three ply`s?
My Kenda 270 rear I have installed right now has 6 ply`s. If I
remember right?
I can`t help to think that the more ply`s a tire has, the better it
would be? Less chance for a puncture too.
I would like to hear some feedback, please. Thanks Kyle

question, mefo tire vs kenda 270`s
I thought the same thing the last time I bought tires for my 4x4 truck. The 2ply tires that came on the truck never gave me any trouble. The 3ply tires that I replaced them with was the only tires I ever put a rock through.
The MEFO is a very stiff sidewall compared to the Kenda. There is lots more than the number of plys that make up a good tire. I just squeezed the sidewall on a new K270 and a new MEFO and there is a noticeable difference in stiffness in favor of the MEFO. Some people like the Kenda but I think it's selling point is it's price. The selling point on the MEFO is it's performance.
I have most all MEFO tires in stock and should have the 21" MEFO in about three weeks.

Go to this sight and scroll down to the appropriate article. Bill is
very thorough and if he says it works you can count on it.
