It works for me too, usually, but minus the engine revving bit. I do, however, give the brake lever a little extra squeeze just as the KLR comes to a stop, to momentarily put a bit more weight on the front wheel. Sandy --- In DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com, "dumbazz_650" wrote:

Coming to a quick stops seems to help me too. Around here, the sensors are wire loops. I think they detect changing magetic/electric fields. I figure the sensors get a bigger signal if I manage to move over them quickly before coming to a stop. But maybe it's getting the bike metal closer to the ground by compressing the forks. Or both. Now evidently, my cycloptic colleague informs me that that can't be done."

I don`t think weight has anything to do with tripping the signal light. I think there is a sencer under the asfalt that detects the metal in your vehicle. Try this......when you pull up to the light look for the patch of asfalt that looks like it has been cut out and replaced-then stop at the apex of either corner-the sencer is strongest there because two lines intersect there. Also for a turn only lane you will notice that the 'patch" is about 3-4 car lenghts back from the light...stop on it or force the car behind you to stop on it and you will get the turn arrow when the light changes. That is the way it works here in OHIO......Try it..........LARRY Larry W Meneffe 1467 Hampwood Drive Columbus, Ohio 43229 (614) 436-9944 --------------------------------- Yahoo! I had someone tell me to stop and put the sidestand down directly over these marks and rev the engine. It seems to work. Criswell (don't forget to pull the sidestand up).

tweety questions???? (attn: steve)

Steve, I adjusted my carb by ear after I rebuilt it. But before I messed with it I noted what it was originally adjusted to. It is within 1/8 turn of that setting and I think (because it has been nearly a year since I touched it) it is about 1.5 turns or so. -Andy BIFBR Andyt59@... http://myweb.cableone.net/tbernard -----Original Message----- From: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com [mailto:DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of jaymackwright Sent: Wednesday, March 08, 2006 10:48 AM To: DSN_KLR650@yahoogroups.com Subject: [DSN_KLR650] Tweety questions???? Andy - have you turned your carb mixture screw out? Or are you still at the factory setting? I have 5K+ miles, stock carb settings and (so far) no tweet. Just wondering if the people running "richer" (than stock) carb settings are tweeting more offen....?
