When I was at Advanced Auto Parts I picked up some antifreeze for my Malibu and started reading the info on the back. It states that it is made for all vehicles that have ALUMINUM radiators. It was $9.88 a gallon, straight product not already mixed 50/50. A 50/50 Prestone/Water mix = -34F/-37C and +265F/+129C A 70/30 Prestone/Water mix = -84F/-64C and +276F/+136C Would this be good for our KLR's ZeeGadget

Avoid the Dexcool for the KLR. I just flushed my cooling system last week on a '96 Blazer that came with Dexcool (78k miles). The expansion tank was full of rust colored sludge, there are also some class action lawsuits against GM regarding Dexcool. It's not a bad product, but the system cannot be exposed to air (i.e., cracked expansion tank, cap, etc.), or it will start turning to sludge. I bought my Blazer used, and the previous owner had lost the cap to the expansion tank. The sludge was bad enough that the overflow hose clogged and forced the radiator cap to release fluid.
