non-cog, nklr - wanted minolta tele-extender

The manual says that 2mm is the minimum tread depth before the tire should be replaced. What do most of you guys let your tire wear to before a new one is installed? If you are a cheap ass, change it when it's bald. I would rather have peace of mind knowing I can ride in the rain much safer.

I'll let the rear get considerably less than that, but don't let the front get under 2 mm. Yesterday I replaced my rear K750 (the third on this bike) and the tread depth in the center of the tire was just a bit under 1 mm after 6,970 miles. Dreas Nielsen
