interchangability

Was wondering if the wheels, forks, swing arm, plastic, tank, etc..... are interchangeable from an '85 600 to an '01 650. I'd like to make the newer bike look like a rat to fend off thieves here in the big city (SF), and was hoping to rob my busted 600 of it's wheels so I could have knobbies one day, and street tires the next.
