Say Fred, since you have a winner already, are you giving partial credit for those of us who noticed the '650', and rad shroud graphic decals are missing?;-})

The tires look like avon distanzia's, but it's hard to see the tread. The front tire looks like it's slightly bigger than the rear, so it's clearly not the stock 21." Since 18" tubes are so readily available, I wonder if that bike has an 18" rim?? The fork boots don't look stock, the license plate has been mounted higher, with what might be a mud flap hanging down? Obvious is the trunk and tank bag, so I assume that doesn't count. I see what looks like it might be a reflection, or spot of light on the end of the right / throttle grip. Could it have bar end weights for vibration? There's also that same spot of light on what has to be the lever end, but a rubber handgrip shouldn't be able to reflect any light. And lastly, that might be one of those hairpin, (straight one side, dips in and out on the other), quick axle nut things on the rear axle nut. Bad terminology, I know... it's used in place of, and faster than a cotter pin. Rear Fender is missing the inner liner, at least the OEM one. And it appears to have 91 Octane fuel in the tank. Dooden A15 Green Ape

Relocated license plate, aftermarket mud flap, fork boots don't look stock, front rim's big, not stock tires, bar ends, & way too clean, yup. Scott A14 "thunderdog" Sorrento, FL In a message dated 1/10/2004 12:12:01 AM Eastern Standard Time, moabmc@... writes:

Dr. Thompson has been my hero, my guru, for lo these many years. He inspired my purchase of a 900SS Ducati with "Song of the Sausage Creature", and shortly afterwards I entered the savage but rewarding world of moto-journalism. Why, just yesterday I received another check from my publisher for my most recent "Backroads Diary" column, and it would never have happened but for the good Doctor's influence. I mean, look at this: "No. I am not a whore," said the bartender. "What do you mean by that?" "Nevermind the small talk," I said to her. "I came here to suck on your back." She cried out with fear and tried to get away, but I slapped some plastic on her, then I locked the front door. It was 2:06 a.m., and a freezing rain was falling. Beautiful, I thought. This is my kind of night. -------------------------------------- That's the Doctor, in full rant, in his new column at ESPN. Who knew? I certainly didn't, until Mr. Basinet brought this to my attention. I owe you one, buddy, wherever you are. So even though I find myself woefully conscious on yet another dreary winter Sunday morning in Minnesota, with the liquor stores and motorcycle emporiums closed due to some perverted Scandiwegian religious ethic, I can rejoice in the atavistic consumption of an entire archive of H.S. Thompson's irreverent artistry. Thanks George. =gc= --- George Basinet wrote:
