cold weather storage

Post by dooden » Sat Oct 25, 2003 6:59 pm

Could do like the old timers used to do back in the early yeared powered tractors, night time drain the oil and coolant into designated containers and bring it in the logging cabin for the night to keep it semi warm, then add it back to the engine before attempting to start the tractor. Of course that seems a little bit much for storage, but if worried could drain the coolant out for storage, but really do not know how that would effect any seals or anything sitting dry, but im sure somebody that knows or has a opinion will pipe in and give the bad reasons to drain it.
