Hi from Istanbul,
Anyone who has any idea to cure shakings in crosswinds above 70-80 mph ?
I'll appreciate your suggestions.
Thanks,

Hi Ertugrul, If your bike is otherwise sound the way to cure high speed handling problems is to change the sail of a front fender for a lower aftermarket unit or install a fork brace. Try removing the stock fender and see if that helps. If it doesn't you'll have to look at the steering, forks and wheels/tires. This is just to see if it's the problem, riding without a front fender doesn't really work. I had a similar problem, a fork brace helped. Also, keeping the tires inflated properly helps as well. Are you carrying large panniers or luggage on the back of the bike? Try leaning forward on the bike in heavy winds, I find that the added front wheel weight bias helps the shaking... Z DC A5X A12X> Hi from Istanbul, > Anyone who has any idea to cure shakings in crosswinds above 70-80 mph ? > I'll appreciate your suggestions. > Thanks, >

I'm about three weeks away from leaving So. California for Montana. I
want to be there for the 4th. of July. I was planning on camping the
three to four days I think it may take to ride there. Does anyone
have any recommendations on campgrounds around the Mariposa/Yosemite
area, and then from there up through Nevada, east Oregon, Idaho and
then Montana. I'm heading to Kalispell and any input about good
places to camp is appreciated.
PS. If anyone wants to tag along, I wouldn't mind (you should have
your own camping gear, unless your a Sports Illustrated super-model,
then I would gladly share)
