Dave, Thank you. I think you made my point for me. There seems to be a pervasive attitude in our society that totally avoids individual responsibility and puts the blame on the motorcycyle/SUV/gun/tire/skateboard/?MacDonalds?/whatever. I've yet to see an SUV sitting in a parking lot all by itself do anything threatening. Bill A15 '94 Jeep GC '88 Ranger '69 C10

Ditto, I have many vehicles. I don't think I fit the "Stereotype" for any of them. Dale 72 VW Bug 78 Southwind 30' RV 88 Jeep YJ 95 LS650 97 Dodge B1500 RamVan 00 KLR650 01 Dodge B1500 truck

Yup. Now that I've taken a couple deep breaths I would like to make a personal observation. The last two incidents I have had were: a. Soccer mom in a minivan rear ended me. b. Old lady in a caddy pulled out in front of me. Are all mini van owners a menace? I doubt it. Are some? Absolutely. There may be a case for age being related to diminishing skills. I suspect there is but I'm not about to make a blanket statement without real data. I haven't had any bad experiences with SUV drivers. Does that mean anything? Absolutely not. -- Dave Morrow IS Manager R.E.Warner & Associates Westlake, Ohio 440-835-9400

wiring problems

While doing some other work on my Tengai I noticed that the magneto and ignition wires coming out of the engine casing had become hardened and the insulation had cracked. The neutral switch wire had only one strand remaining.I cut out and resoldered the bad parts and covered the joints with heat shrink tubing. This may only happen on the older bikes but it might be worth checking if you get one of those hard to find electrical faults.
