Has anyone tried the YTX14AHL-BS battery? It's the Yuasa maintenance-
free equivalent to the stock battery. I haven't but I'd like to hear
from someone who has.

Does anyone make a side stand with a large foot pad? Mine sinks in
soft ground .

The sidestand is mild steel, basically anyone can weld on a small plate in 5
minutes. A couple of people sell nice looking drilled plates for this
purpose.
Or, find a beer can, crush it, and use that to keep the bike from sinking
(then take the trash out with you).
Or lean it against a tree.
