Slime is currently holding air in a two-week-old puncture in my rear tire that probably happened during my little trek across the Mojave Desert. Fixing it in my garage is going to beat the hell out of fixing it in the desert. No balance problems. Never had to balance any of my tires, in fact. RM

I think the only downside, which you may not even experience, is that it can be messy. Clog the valve, leak out when checking / adding air. My son had a little trouble like this, but felt it was worth it for the peace of mind. Wise men still seek Him... Use it... it could save your life. Mark B2 (Slimed, but never punctured) A2 (Slime has done its job many times) A3 (almost killed Mark because he forgot to Slime my tires after he bought me)

I buy the $12 bottle and use it in both KLR's and the KDX. I think it is cheap insurance. Not that it'll stop everything but may help with cacti thorns. Never a balancing problem or any other complaints. --- Ira Agins wrote:

Can Slime be used *before* a leak, or only after the tire gets punctured to seal it? In other words, is it a measure of prevention? Is it worthwhile to use HD tubes with Slime? Roja 90 dr350s

prevention? How does it hold up against 16d duplex nails? They seem to be the ones that can make a hole in a tire where I live. For some reason, the contractors drop them on the washboard dirt roads, then eventually one ends up where you don't want it.

The only problem I've had was a gummed up pressure gauge, WD40 cleaned it up, no problems since. I have used it in my tubeless tires for about seven years with no corrosion problems. Ed Windsor

My A3 has a very loose Rear Shock. What's the best advise economical advice. Can these be repaired by a shop successfully or is it best to break down and buy a new one? I installed lowering links on it and the chain rubs the top chain guard when I hit a low. I can bounce the back tire while at a stand still. Is this a bad shock.
