Borg,
Has anyone used the special wash for Goretex jackets that Rider Wearhouse
sells? And what do you treat the jacket with after washing it?
I'm leaning toward ordering the special "detergent/wash/whatever" and a can
of Camp Dry.

Let us know how this turns out; I've been thinking of ordering he same thing. You won't believe this but for about the first five years I didn't wash or treat my suit of all. I put at least 50k miles on it and that included many hot sweaty rides here in the South West as well as 2 trips through Mexico to Central America and a couple of trips to Baja. My wife has a sensitive smelling apparatise. She said the suit didn't stink at all. Also it kept repelling water just fine. Just washed with regular detergent so far. The nylon is still repelling water. When that stops, I figured to try ReviveX. Dave A14 Richmond> sells? And what do you treat the jacket with after washing it?

Great group to find out about light gear. they don't like
motorcycles all that much. so just lurk and learn.

I wash the one piece RC in the spring and end of summer.. in the
large front loader at the laundromat with std detergent plus if it's
really grimy plus a HD additive detergent. I then hit it with Camp Dry
after hanging it to drip dry. My washer at home is too small and the
agitation is too agressive I think too.
