I am going to take it home and fill it with acid, then put it on my one amp charger. How long should I put in on the charger? [dsn_klr650] new battery charge duration
You should have some instructions in the box the battery came in. I would imagine that charging your battery at 1 amp for 4 to 8 hours would be sufficient. Fred

Hi Bill, If you need a cheap battery charge (shutoff) timer (0 to 24 hours), see http://www.cycoactive.com/bike/batt_tip.html Tom -- +---------------------------------------------+ | CycoActive Products | 701 34th Ave | Seattle, WA 98122 USA | | Design/Manufacture of Motorcycling Accessories | Products website: http://www.cycoactive.com/mc | e-mail: moto@... | tel (206) 323-2349 fax (206) 325-6016 | trail tips website: http://www.cycoactive.com/mc/trail_tips +---------------------------------------------+>I got a new battery in the mail (Thanks, Fred). Attachments : Yes. A battery never reaches its full charge if you just stick it into the bike without a charge. I've got it on the charger right now, 1 amp for about 6 hours ought to do it. I took it to the BMW shop (I bought a bike there so they filled it for nothing) and they filled it with acid. I had some, but not enough. Anyhow, you need to charge them, or you won't ever have a really good battery.
