Brad, go to a locksmith. It's funny to see your request as I'm a locksmith and just made a copy of my KLR key about a half hour ago!

I doubt if I could get through to them then ... just remember their desire to please you if you ever need a lot of lockwork done. Check the archives for info on other blanks that can be subbed ... there's a few common that they're bound to have. Steve in Cincinnati

Thanks for posting the link Jim ... I was just looking for it and here's the info you fellas need. I ripped this from Eric's site (hope it's OK) This will get ya going on finding a spare. From Eric: KLR Key Blanks So you're not one of those nice little RUB-types? You don't want to pay over $10 for a key blank? Here is a listing of key blanks that will work for the KLR. Please note I can only speak for the blank I use, the rest were provided by others on the KLR list. I suggest taking the complete list of possibilities to your key shop, and let them decide which blank will work best for you. Curtis SU-9 Suzuki blank - Oh, this one's from me! Curtis YM-58 blank - Thanks Raymond! Ford 5 cut primary blank - Thanks Bill! ILCO KA15 X106 - Thanks Bryan! ILCO YH38 X77 - Thanks Sarah! ILCO X120 YH46 - Thanks Tom!

You can buy the blanks for any Kawi Dealer. I got mine from Point Cycle in Pittsburgh (how'd you guess). Anyway there are two, a left and a right (the direction of the jog) so be sure to get the right one. The picture in the parts manual was opposite of what I expected. The picture shows the cross-section as if you were looking at it from the point rather than from the Fob Hole. They are expensive though... Like $8.50 for a blank. Then take the blank to a local cutter and have one cut. LaterZ Dash

I don't know about already cut, but if you call them they will gladly take your credit card # and send you parts quickly. Glenn and Doug are both excellent people to deal with, very friendly, never too busy (though they are always swamped) and best of all, their prices are the best that I have found from any Kawi Dealer. Are you serious ... 8.50 for a blank??? These are 2.50 already cut in the shop where I work. And the reason they're 2.50 is they get cut on both sides.

Hi Steve, Is that $2.50 for a Kawi Key or for a generic blank that happens to match? If the first then expect a whole bunch of business. Oh and yeah $8.50 per blank for a Kawi Blank, normal dealer price is over $10. Walt brought up a good point about getting them cut based on the code numbers. I never had an original, so I don't know my code. LaterZ Dash
