Huh? 20k is high mileage? Are you serious? I know people who do that in one year. I average more than 10k/year. I realize the KLR won't last as long as some tourers, but surely 20k is nowhere near the average lifespan. Right, folks? I've only had this bike for a few months and I like it a lot, but I am impressed (depressed?) with how much maintenance it needs. Mind, it's the first chain-driven bike I've had in >20 years and my other bike is a Honda ST1100 with ~100k of ridiculously maintenance-free miles. Even so, I'm constantly tightening bolts, fixing this and tweaking that on the Kawi. Please tell me it isn't a disposable toy.
