I just read about TAs in Mr. Wilmer's book and was surprised to see that
traficators were a TA option at some point along the line. Does anyone have
a TA with traficators? (Just curious!)

Hi Dick,

I am assuming your question was meant for the roadsters, as the TA/TB tickfords all had trafficators.
I don't ever recall seeing a roadster with them, and they were an option, according to the 39 sales manual.

My father had a 49 Anglia and in the dusty roads of the Alberta foothills
these signal arms or whatever would plug up and mal function. He called
them many names not repeatable here.

I don't know about TAs but there is/was a TC running around with them.
The story was that it was originally sold in Switzerland. My guess is
that they were probably added there.

I uploaded two photos of trafficators on my TA photo thumbnail (4th page I believe). I don't know the origin but they are old. Outside mounts on the fwd end of the tub.

A traficcator sounds to me like someone who has misbehaved in traffic or worse.
