FW: [mg-tabc] Gripe about spare parts

My first experiences with the spare parts available for TC's is very frustrating. So far, I've only tackled a front end rebuild but have had numerous items that had to be returned to the vendor. Examples: front spring eye bushings that needed trimming, tie rod end balls which came with a castle nut but were not drilled for a cotter pin, spring reinforcing plates with incorrect hole spacing and the inability to get a "correct" drag link end.

I've bought parts for my other vintage vehicles (VW, BMW, Mercedes) and have found varying degrees of quality between suppliers but at least the stuff fits!

I'm sure glad that my TC is in good shape. I hate to see how many returns I'd have to suffer through during a complete restoration!

Ray,

Most of my gripes are with parts originating from Moss. However, the parts from the "hobbyist" suppliers, such as Bob Grunau, have been excellent.
