Oil filter pipes.

Dear All,
I bought a oil filter adapter from Bob. It is very nice. On TC 448
the original Bracket was missing. There was metal strap fixed to the block.
But it showed some sign of crack. I never wanted to take risk and replaced
against a flexi pipe. The original (?) copper pipes, one in "S" shape and
the other "U" is about 9,5 mm dia. I cut them both from the flange. Then
drilled slowly with 8 mm drill and then with 10 mm drill. There are standard
nipple of 10mm available and it is very cheep. So I pushed it into the
flange kept about an inch out and soldered it to the flange.
I tried to get different oil pipe. But finally got the information and
address from the "Ferguson" tractor repairing shop of a company making oil
pressure pipe. They recommended oil and heat resistant thick rubber pipe.
They have the sockets and press and finished the two pipes on to my original
flanges, Charged 23 including 12 copper washers. I think it is a reasonable
deal. But The pipe look bit heavy compared to the old cooper tube. Better
looking metal flex pipes are also available there.
I fixed the pipes and started the engine. Every thing fits fine with out
oil leak.
If any body needs more information or picture let me know.
Best regards
Madhu
