Hi All,
The tailpipe clamp/bracket...what does it attach to on the chassis?
The rear cross member perhaps?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,
Have a look at any spare part list of MG T-A,B or C. At the end of
the tail there is a " P " clip mounted to the chassis. The muffler and the
tail pipes are parallel to the chassis and rigidly fixed to the chassis.
There is a small bend on the tail pipe. The fall pipe if fitted rigid to the
engine. All the vibration had to be absorbed only by the flexible pipe.
This is the original set up.
But many cars are converted like the TF. where the tail pipe and muffler
are suspended on a cross members by means of a flexible pad.

Hi Mike-
If I understand your question, the rear of the tailpipe is supported by a
hanger that is attached to the right side gas tank strap bracket on the
rearmost frame cross tube by a longer bolt and nut through the bracket.
Hope this helps.
