TABC Classified Ads

Doug makes a good point but If we all sent in things we wanted to sell or want to buy to Walter to be added on the TABC classifieds page then it could get quite hairy for him. In addition to just adding it to the page, it would have to be removed when sold so Walter would have to look for it and then remove it. And from experience of running ads, most sellers or buyers won't contact you when sale is complete to remove ad so you are left guessing on if to remove it or expired ads just pile up and clog the works. Walter could just remove ad after set time (say two weeks) but even that gets involved. Walter already does a FANTASTIC job on the TABC web page. BRAVO and KUDOs to him. I would hate to burn him out. By the same token though the classifieds page does have its place so shouldn't be forgotten especially of major parts and if a picture or two is involved. Just remember to get back to Walter when sale is complete. In fact it was the classified page that led me to find the TABC group many years ago. I had done a Google search for a part I was looking for and found this wonderful group. In my meek and humble opinion, I don't see anything wrong with an individual messaging in that they have X for sale or X Y Z for sale on have items on their wish list. What we don't need is all the replies going to the whole group. A business is another matter though.
