TC Dimensions

Hello, I'm at the 'first fit' stage of reassembling my TC bodywork and would like to be sure that I have the correct relationship between the chassis, body tub, radiator etc. There is a dimensioned drawing of the TC on page 119 of Chris Harvey's "The Immortal T Series". The same drawing appears again in Sherrell's "TCs Forever", although here he assures us it is not a drawing of the TC. (I would have to agree with him as it clearly shows battery holders behind the seats.) Does anyone know if the dimensions shown in these drawing relate to the TC, or if the correct dimensions exist elsewhere. I am particularly interested in the length of the bonnet shown as 43 13/16", and the height of the scuttle top which is shown as 26 9/16". Regards Peter Cole. PS Thanks to all those who responded to my earlier request for details of the radiator shell fixings.

Peter Just checked my TC - the bonnet dimension is as mine but the dimension to the scuttle is impossible to measure on a complete vehicle, however, taking it on the inside and allowing for the slope of the scuttle and floor board thickness, it would seem to be about right. I have often pondered this diagram and wondered what it is , the plan indicates TC due to the two running board strips, but the tonneau area is not TC - I wondered about TB but I think they had a short third running board strip ( I saw such a one last weekend at Stoneleigh) The bonnet side louvres are like no T type that was produced so I suspect that a certain amount of Draughtsman's licence was going on!
