I have the original 1954 hardback (purchased at a library book sale when I was a kid back in the 1960s), and was able to scan all 15 illustrations for those who are curious. There is one for each of the chapters, plus EB for the special Bugatti tools and the endpiece.

Bugatti may have made all his own bolts, I don't know for sure, but many of them were square headed with a round section under the square.
