TC Engine# 7974

Hi listers, I am trying to find the correct chassis number that is associated with TC Engine # XPAG 7974. I am in the process of buying another TC which is located in another country & apparently the current owner (inherited the car) says that the registration (1972) shows the VIN# as being the engine #. She has no interest in trying to locate the chassis # on the front dumb iron & the ID plate is missing. Chances are the engine could be a replacement from another TC but she swears it is the original.
I have checked all of the TC registries online searching for the 7974 engine # but no luck, can anyone help me with this?
Any help would be appreciated!

Paul, mine is dated September 1949 and is TC 10178 so I doubt 7082 can be November 1949. Maybe 1948.

Paul is correct except the build date is 11 November 1948.

Many thanks to all of those that provided information on “TC engine #7974”....it is such a pleasure to have great resources available! With this information in hand I will make the trip to see the car & confirm the Chassis # 7082 on the front left dumb iron. I didn't realize there was ao much info available on these cars. My car is TC/7159 and though its a long way from what it was when it left the factory I would love any info you have.
