Hi All,
As part of work to build TA1957 I pulled the bulkhead out of the garage roof today that came with the chassis about 45 years ago. I was surprised to see the guarantee plate with chassis number TA2727 MPJG2986 on it. My chassis is definitely 1957 - clearly stamped on the dumb iron. I'll use the bulkhead on 1957 but thought it worth mentioning as I do recall when I bought the bits of 1957 that the guy has 2 TA's that he found in Scotland and sold them both in bits so maybe 2727 is still circulating maybe even with the bulkhead from 1957.
Maybe Roger Furneaux can throw some light on the number from his archives. I tried the TTT database but no record there.
