TA and TB Headlights
I am trying to sort out some prewar headlight which, I think, are for a TA or a TB. My questions are: 1 - was the "King of the Road" medallion recessed or did it just sit on top of the headlight bucket? 2 - were any of the lenses a "U" lens but having the general shape of a cat-eye lens and not almost flat like most of the "U" lenses? Thanks in advance. Re: TA and TB Headlights
Hugh, a series of photos MG (or Nuffield publicity) took of a black/red TC in New Orleans with 2 beautiful models in spring 1947 show the TC with domed U-shaped fluted lenses. It's the only photos I've seen with these lenses, and I have no idea of how many (if more than one) TC had these lenses.
Photos are fun - the TC is posed with the ladies in front of several known landmarks. There's even one showing the TC being unloaded out of the back of a small transport plane!
Doesn't answer your question, but it is fun trivia.
