What fluid on a TB shock-absorbers ?
Blower Manual gives instructions for a TA or a TC, which do you follow with a TB ? TC, I should say.
Putting a wire down through the hole on top, first it does not go down much and then comes up with a dark mark about 0.5 cm high.
Does it need re-filling ?
When it needs, what do you refill it with ?
Nobody here knows the Girling Official Piston Type Hydraulic Damper Thin Fluid!
Is it the same at the rear than at the front ?

No special instructions as the Eaton came with a reconditionned SU,
the needles of which are supposed to be correct.
In fact, no instructions at all. Bolt on and see!

hello Jean - the best modern alternative is motorcycle fork oil: the important thing is that it is "non-foaming".
Yours could quite likely be dirty inside, from the rubber seals, but to clean them is a big job and involves removing the screwed-on end caps. However, by taking off the top plates and holding them up-side down while working the arm up & down, will get most of the oil out.
The oil is the same for front & rear, metering valves in the pistons give differing "hardness".

Unscrewing the shock-absorbers tops must be very uneasy,
the 2 center scews being very close to the wings bottom.

I think Roger means to take the shocks off of the car in order to pour the oil out of the top.
