TC concours standards

Martin,
I have a copy of the judging standards for the TC I purchased on e-Bay quite
a while ago. I have never seen anything like it since.
The criteria are a bit out of date due to new information about originality,
but the general guidelines are still valid. There is no date but this
publication most likely dates to the late 50's or early 60's. I have no
information as to where it originally came from or who published it, however
it appears to be from the TC Motoring Guild. Perhaps someone on the MG-TABC
list has more knowledge of this club. It is a 7 page publication with a cream
and green colored cover.
It contains very interesting standards for a 100 point system and covers
everything from front to rear of the car including tools and illustrations of
the engine and instrument panel.
I had considered running off a small number of these and offering them as
copies to those that might be interested. If you are, let me know and I will
get some price quotes from a printer worked up. If there is enough interest,
I think price would not be to high.
My best, Ben Cordsen, TC 4260

No need to do that. The Motoring Guild is still quite an active TC Club.
The pamphlet is available from the Regalia Chair, Bob Wilmer, for $4.00, but
if you join the club it's only $2.00. I've been a member over 40 years.

I have been in contact with Ben on this article he has. I am a
member of the TC Motoring Guild and am trying to determine if what
Ben has is the "MGTC Specifications" from our club. I do not have a
copy of it so don't know if it is 7 pages long as Ben mentioned. I
have put the word out to some other Guild members but haven't gotten
a response back yet. Maybe Allan can confirm. If it is the same,
then the price is $2 or $4 depending on if you are a member or not.
Shipping is added to that figure but you have to check with our
regalia chair, Bob Wilmer at the address below or call at
310-394-5232. (He is 80 plus years old by the way and still gets the
TC out now and again.)
The club web site is at:
http://tcmotoringguild.org as Allan
mentioned and you can view the regalia at the coresponding link.
Most our articles were written in the 60's and early 70's so some
items are out of date. We are moving slowly trying to clean up the
old copy and update them as needed.

David, Allan,
It's an excellent website - I surfed thru it a while back and was struck
by the Membership Gallery. How nice it was to see photos of the members
as well as their cars.
I wish more members of our group would post pictures and notes about
their cars on the T-ABC site. It's nice to have an idea of who is
communicating with me - or at least what their car looks like.

Thanks TA! I take it those were taken either at, or on the way, to the GOF in Colorado?
