Austin American

Post by rmeismer1@aol.com » Mon Jul 08, 2002 4:29 pm

Does anyone know if anything on a 1969 Austin America is the same parts as the TCs? Was the block the same? This an Automatic so not worth repairing as I understand they were bad news. Rolland AFAIK, the AA used the BMC A series engine in 1275 cc or maybe it was the 1100 cc version. Anyways it's a front wheel drive car with a cross laid engine: aka a Mini with a bigger body. Blake

Roland I don't think any parts of the Austin America would be compatable with TCs! .If my memory is correct they used the BMC A series engine or B series in the more powerful version Paul TC3348
