Try it on the Datsun steering box, I am sure it would look great. I have it on My TC (BC box) PTH

I keep hearing about the Tompkins Kit but have yet find one or what the cost would be. Any help here would be appreciated BTW Chip Hellie found a copy of "TCs Forever" for me at a vary reasonable price and he's close enough for me to go and get it. Thanks to all of you the tried to help me on this BOBS

tompkins kit

I have a Moss tompkins kit, but only the top cover with adjusting peg and nut....I'm missing the flat inner bearing and the 2 thin flat washers,also the cage bearing used for the steering colomn felt bush replacement ....Does anyone know where I can source these missing pieces or the bearing # or specs that will I require Thanks John White . John, Those are Torrington needle bearings, 3/4" bore, 1 1/4" OD, Torrington #1220 ? for the flat needle thrust bearing, #1220A/B/c, depending on thickness, for the flat hard steel washers. I can look tomorrow in the garage if you need more details. I would not change the felt bush for a needle bearing at the top of the column. No lubrication and dirt can enter. I use a telflon bush I made up.
