Dear Paul; Wow what a great idea! Wonder, wonder if it will retrofit onto
the Datsun.

BTW Chip Hellie found a copy of "TCs Forever" for me at a vary
reasonable price and he's close enough for me to go and get it.
Thanks to all of you the tried to help me on this

Bob,
I make and sell the Tompkins kit as well as other items of interest to T
type owners. Send me an off list email and I'll send you my list of MG

John,
Those are Torrington needle bearings, 3/4" bore, 1 1/4" OD, Torrington
#1220 ? for the flat needle thrust bearing, #1220A/B/c, depending on
thickness, for the flat hard steel washers. I can look tomorrow in the
garage if you need more details.
I would not change the felt bush for a needle bearing at the top of the
column. No lubrication and dirt can enter. I use a telflon bush I made up.
