Hi All

bought it in about 1970 Hope this dose not confuse the issue too much!

Re: Digest Number 652 TB Generators or Dynamo,s to us Limeys
According to my Lucas 400 D. Master catalogue 1939 to 1954 the 39 MG Midget generator was a # 228331 C45NV-3 which was superseded by a 22452 C45YV-3and a 37065 a RF 95-2 regulator The book does not say if the original one was 3rd Brush but I would assume by the supersession that it was.
This book was published in 1954 and is usually accurate but I have found problems with it so draw your own conclusions.

Can not give a # at the moment but the TB dynamo is a 3 brush unit and is slightly smaller than the TA one...will give a # ASAP. These units were also nickle plated and not painted and had a different pulley than the TA. John

Re: Digest Number 652 TB Generators or Dynamo,s to us Limeys
Still have the dynamo that came with my TB from the factory and it also says
" special equipment " on it on an oval brass plate on the dynamo body. Will
try to confirm the #s ASAP. These also have a date code like many TB parts.
Mine has 5 (May), and 9 (39), and I have a spare one that is the same...the
pulleys are the pot metal type.
