buying tabc The restoration game

hello dear list members Finally i can stop bothering you with my demands of the best way purchasing a mg tabc. I toke my car and trailer, run to England 4000 miles, bought a car without dificult arguing, and brought the car home.I just followed my basic instinct, not my commom sense.Until today i am still very happy. The car i bought is the one that Walter put on the tabc website http://www.mg-tabc.org/hvm/hvm.htm It is a TA 1936.(as I believe), The original logbook included mentions it is the chassis number 0761 with engine wcjg 1059. The engine right now has a plate ,( round copper and in my point of view) original wich says MG motor co MPJG 0735. I bought it in the folowing state:(on first sight) : chassis looks OK,except master break cilinder clutch and gear box seems OK engine seems OK, except( I know) cylinder head ( must be checked New woodwork and new metal plates . Joined a lot of coach parts, right or wrong, sorry , I am not familiar with these cars On first sight, having read the book MG t serie restoration guide by Malcolm Green , the fuel tank seems to be too wide, and what intrigues me more, they always speak about a clutch wich is running in oil, but as I see mine, this looks like a normal dry clutch, even used now a days. But let's not talk about this mechanical cases now, I believe , as further the restoration goes, i believe you will hear more of me, if you folks continue willing to help me. Please imagine, as i mentioned before, that I hardly never saw a MG TA in a decent state, and also here in spain, it is quite impossible to see one.People with digital cameras, keep your camera prepared.,because in the future, I will ask a lot of photos, just to save me a 1000$ trip to britain. But this is for later I want to thank all the list members for answering my boring(and maybe not to the point)demands that i did before, especially Carl fritz and Gene William, who brought me in contact with the TABC site long time ago, Walter Prechsl to put my pictures on the side. I hope nobody feels passed by this especially thanks, because every reaction i got helped me a lot. In my garage now is standing a wonderfull piece of old mechanic, let's hope I can make a car out of it. My target is just making a car wich perfectly runs, and wich is very beautiful to see, wich I can enjoy every day. Thanks again to everybody for all the help Harry
