generator number

Hi,
Does anyone know the ORIGINAL generator for the TB? Lucas lists one that fits from basically the beginning of the world up, but having seen one of those, I know it is not the original but a service replacement.
The original had a short nickel body, with a black dust cover band. Anyone with a number?
