Re: SHOCK ABSORBER BUSHINGS # 282-710 ON INVOICE 6649

Jeff- I know the part # is right but I can't believe the bushings have the
correct center hole. I used the Moss kit you sent me and a 12 ton press and
all I got was a mess and torn up bushings that are not usable as installed.
Somewhere someone has the correct dimensions for these parts or another
supplier that has the proper bushings.

JOhn,
I checked with Moss on this. This is what I got back, looks like it was the
right part. Let me know if you need me to reorder it.
yes jeff there are very difficult to install, so moss has tool part# 385-890
to make tings essier or td shop
manual pg. L3 for help.
Cheers,

John,
Perhaps a clue to the problem is the 12-ton press. I
used a vice, a screw driver and copious invective.
Control, alignment, the need to check and redue before
driving them all the way, are all elements of the job.
Regardless, it 'aint easy as many will testify.
If the bush is fully inserted before you try to insert
the link arm, then the hole is small. Hence I used
partial insertion, leaving the central hole large
enough to offer the link arm, then carefully drive all
together.
My parts were from MOSS.
