The amp meter is a short circuit in a sense. It is a metal strip that acts as a wire and a magnet with a pointer. Very simple. Current through the strip creates magnetic field and moves the magnet. If you put enough. Current prob about 40 amps it will become a fuse! Sent from my iPhone
