aero screens
Dear Listers
Probably a repeat question BUT does anyone have precise measurements to fit 2 Brookland screens to a TC....so that you can do it and not have interference from the wiper motor when the wind screen is in the up position. In advance , thanks.

Aero screens
Bjorn,
Take your time in finalising the position of the aero screens. They are fiddly to get right but worth it ! Bear in mind that the windscreen when folding forward must not foul the pedestals. Also when the screen is folded flat the aero screens should look symmetrical when viewed from the front of the car that it is not cock eyed. I made sure that when viewed from the front of the car the bottom frame of the aero screens were parallel with the frame of the folded windscreen.
Use masking tape on the scuttle and perhaps another pair of hand might help when setting up. Also you may find that when fitted the passenger aero screen glass will not lie parallel to the windscreen glass due to the wiper motor.
Best of luck and I am sure that you will enjoy even more wind in your hair !

Re: Aero screens
Hello Bjorn, I agree, well worth it, adds period look even though not original. I fitted mine horizontal and I store an hexagonal key under the dash in a wiring clip, should I need to adjust or remove on the road. The positioning is tricky so take all the time you need before drilling. Make sure you end up with a gap no less than 1/4 between the two centre posts, including the aero screen mounting rods, and the windscreen glass. If this gap is less the windscreen glass will tap or hit these metal bits when going over rough roads or heavy bumps. It s surprising how much the windscreen flexes fore & aft in these conditions. Re: Aero screens
To assist in leveling the aero screens I used a laser level. It makes getting the screens level an easy task. By the way I targeted the top of the scuddle and then moved it up for the screens.
