Piping Color

I'm trying to find a color match for the Cream color that I will paint the car, but I can't find a vinyl the matches the right Cream color to make the piping. Any suggestions? Do I continue to look at vinyl books or is painting it possible? Who has vinyl paint that can be mixed to match? Mr. Fig Here in the US any Automotive paint supply store has vinyl dyes available. They can mix it to an exact match to any paint sample you have. I use SEM brand dye. They can make it by the pint, quart, etc, some shops can even supply the tinted dye in a spray. It's a bit expensive, but it works well. Just apply like any paint product. Hi Fig, Chip's right on. Most car interiors are now painted with vinyl, almost all are molded basic vanilla colour and painted to suit. There is almost as large selection of vinyl paint colours to choose from as exterior colours in the chip books. I would pick one just slightly different from the exterior paint, as the originals were often not a dead on match back then either. Nice part about the vinyl paints is that they go on like lacquer, no need for additives or hardeners. Also a very long shelf life. Get a light colour basic piping from Moss or etc, fit it to the car roughly, paint, then final trim and assembly. Good luck!
