original or not to original

With all the talk of how much to restore on our little cars, has anyone ever seen an original TC ( with 50 or 60 year old tires, tubes ,hoses,fan belt,convertible top,. points, spark plugs,brakes hoses, brake linings,wiper blades, carpets, and seat upholstery). I never have ,but if I had one I would leave it alone. In the real world most of us have something less to work with. I see nothing wrong with putting these cars back in good working order and if they look a little too good so what. I hope that not everyone passes on the regular TCs that are left (as about 90% of whats left fall in this group), if they do soon there won't be many TCs left. I find it kind of neat for someone to take a TC that is ready for the scrape heap and return it to nice car even if it is a little too good. Move over Badger.
