Jet Hot

Post by JTPAKI@aol.com » Thu Apr 05, 2001 7:12 am

Joe I used a company in the Northwest USA called Finishline Coatings. I think it may be the same thing as Jet Hot. They call it a Ceramic thermal barrier coating. I believe it was developed for jet engine parts coating. A nice benefit is that it significantly reduces the heat generated, or in other words keeps the heat in the exhaust stream and not in the engine compartment and foot well. I just my WA manifolds with their hammered Aluminum look and it is quite nice. Jet Hot is one of those companies advertising in Hemmings, look in Services offered, the guy I sent to had an office in Conn, but the plant was down south, I believe they have a silver coating but it looks a little modern. Joe

Jet Hot

Thanks for all replies about exhaust wrap, I would like to use the Jet Hot service or similar but I have not found anything like it here in the UK where such processes seem to have been handed to China. Any lead will be welcomed....Bob.
