left bearing race

Apologies if have already posted on this topic:
The left main bearing race is only listed as part of the left case (must buy both case halves). It's a much simpler operation to swap the bearing race than to replace cylinder liners for many bikes.
Heated the case with propane, tapped out the race. Simple. I have a broken case with good race & a good case with bad bearing race. Simple swap, FWIW.
Haven't done the reverse but clearly is not an issue. Will report back when get around to swapping the other way but wanted to prime the pump here as find this group to be one of the best and don't want it to go away.
