wobble & tank slap

Post by mark ward » Wed Dec 31, 2014 9:29 am

Being analytical, I LOVE IT, when I figure out things then find "Experts" had the same Answers. Besides, The triple clamp. Air Pressure, Tire wear, This Video & one that comes up after on Tank slapping had most of the things I learned, Trial & ERROR. (LOL I learned that when above 70mph (same in vid) When the wobble starts If I lean forward OR move my feet forward onto highway bar, it stops. And Happens More, when I have a load on the back.  http://youtu.be/z3OQTU-kE2s  (This Old Vid VERY NICE) Mark (West Mich.)

That means you need to adj your ride height. ;-) Use to get some wobble when loading up my R11GS for trips. A few clicks of positive preload in the rear took care of it. Ditto on my present  KLR  and 1250S Bandit.

Mark,Thank you for posting this link. This is probably the 2d most important thing I have ever learned at this or any other motorbike forum. see frame 4.50mThe first important thing, 'Look where you want to go', not at the item (car, rock, ledge) that is going to hurt you. m.
