I didn't realize or should I say notice M/C with bells but quite some time ago
when I quit backpacking in the Sierras I took the 2 small crude tin bells of my
Back Pack (Bear bells) and installed them on the rails of my KLR's Pannier
framework. I make no claims about but the facts are . . . I haven't had a
Bear problem with 'em on there. I guess that's somethin'

No elephants or unicorns for thousands of miles (except in the unicorn zoos, of course). I guess it works.

They work for unicorns, I see them running in terror when ever I show
up. But, the pink elephant still hangs around.

OK Now!!!, you are being just plain silly!!!!
Hannibal used Elephants to cross MANY RIVERS AND MOUNTAINS, ...............
Hence, Elephants would be more of a DUAL SPORT animal, therefor A FAN, IF NOT THE INSPIRATION of the KLR650......So you do not have to worry about Elephants.
