I have the KLR600/KLR500 Base Manual in stock but not the 250 Supplement. I
can order that or any other OEM part if you need it.
Anybody ever seen a KLR500 before?

There was a KLE500 available in Europe but not the States from 1991-1998.
Uses the EX500 parallel twin engine with its primary chain. Sort of a
Versys precursor. The motor has a 180 degree crank with a gear driven
balance shaft so the use of a primary chain seems like a cheapskate Luddite
engineering decision. Not powerful and not economical, the MCN article says.

I have tried explaining that to many who felt that the larger twice as expensive (or 3 times as expensive) mounts were the ultimate adventure bike. It's like telling Harley guys they need a helmet.

I always describe the KLR as "The Jeep" of motorcycles, It's meant to be taken ANYWHERE AND EVERYWHERE and modified, LOADED down, EASY to work on OFF ROAD, etc.,
