reliability mods to the gen 2?

Back when I had my 1998 KLR650, there were a few "must do" mods to those
bikes. I recently got a stock 2009, and I'm wondering if there are
similar issues that need to be addressed. Just from memory here (I sold
the 98 it in 2005) we did the following on the old bike:
1) doohickey, I've been told the doohickey itself is better now, but the
spring is lacking.
2) sidestand switch.
3) was there a clutch switch mod?
4) carb vent to steering neck.
Or are there any new issues with the current bikes? Thanks.
