no longer riding a klr

Post by albatrossklr » Mon Dec 24, 2012 7:24 am

hi folks, after finding what was at the end (normally aggressive dogs 100% and interesting people 10%) of every fox path and 2 track in north central NC and South central VA, i've sold my KLR. It went to a new rider who has yet to complete his MSF course. He got it at a good price and seemed to be the type person who will keep up the maintenance and ride it as often as possible. I have a one bike at a time rule, otherwise i wuuld have kept the KLR. All-in-all a good transaction. Today i will pick up a "new to me" (quote from the Rev) Honda ST1300. After polling lots of riders it came up most often as the best bike for long distance touring for the price. I will continue to listen in on the great discussions here as there is usually great info for any rider and sometimes a good chuckle from the group. Keep well, keep the rubber side down, and I wish you all a very prosperous new year. terry (the albatross)
