<><><><><> <><><><><> Crash, I use Rotella 15w/40 in my KLR year round. It works fine once the engine is running at 5 above zero F. Not a real issue for me as my KLR is parked in a heated area. The issue is will you be able to get your KLR to start with the 15w in cold conditions. At freezing and above I wouldn't consider changing to something thinner. Some folks like a 5w/40 for colder temps as it makes it easier to start the engine.
