For tires with no dot feel around the interior of the tire for the seam. I guess they close the molds and inject the rubber from one place so it squirts around and joins at one place on the tire, in some cases overlapping, maybe. I don't know but that seam is often heavier.
So I put it on the opposite side of the valve stem as a matter of course. YMMV
If I recall, though, I couldn't feel the seam on the Continental. I was impressed and confident in my purchase. Not enough to replace it with another after it surpassed its useable life at ~3800 miles, IMO.

won't start 08 klr
Okay, here is the deal.
Went for a ride the other night, about 125 miles round trip. About 80 Miles into it I had to do and evasive "slow" from about 80 to 45 when a drunk pulled into my lane.
Bike started acting up, running rough... and right before getting home backfired a couple time. Was Running barely made it home, now will crank over, but wont start. Sounds "normal" while cranking. Tomorrow I will be starting to check it out, wondering where to Start. Progressively got worse on the last 40 miles, and would intermittently run PERFECT all the way back, just to keep it interesting.
Now for what I know. Bike has gas, fuel valve is on, Kill switch is in the run position, Lights come on, Cranks over normal, Oil level is full. One "odd" thing is, the neutral light on the dash is ON in gear or out, but has been doing that for years.
So, where should I start looking? Any Ideas?
Michael
